prevailing visual issues and concepts which have evolved through
my work as a painter, photographer and sculptor have focused
on the emblematic object and the relationships invoked as a
result of it's contextual environment.

a thematic core that continues to explore gesture, communication,
language and symbolic imagery.
body of work that I refer to as The Enfolded Hands was initially
created from a time in life that imposed the need for patience,
time and reflection. From this position of solitude and observance,
the hands were interpreted and posed as monumental objects,
imposing, entwined and persevering. Within their mass and composure
remain familiar gestures, studied and revealing. The experience
of time, patience, anticipation, endurance, compromise, and
comfort is embraced.
